Beige and Black StomaCloak Stoma Ostomy Pouch and Bag Covers

Care Instructions

To wash and recharge the odor adsorbing properties of the activated carbon contained in the StomaCloak®, it should be machine washed with any normal laundry soap (for best results use unscented laundry soap) on any wash cycle, then dried with heat in the dryer.

We recommend you change your StomaCloak®ostomy pouch and bag cover each time you change your wafer, usually every four days. We also recommend you have three StomaCloak® ostomy pouch and bag covers, two clean and one in use.

StomaCloak® Usage

Step 1:
After showering and towel drying your stoma appliance bag, pass your hand into the folded end of the StomaCloak® and grasp the valve/empty end of your stoma appliance bag. Draw it down into the StomaCloak® through the round opening at the other end.

Step 2 – two piece appliance
Use two hands to manipulate the circle opening of the StomaCloak® around the stoma appliance flange, working from one side around to the other, seating it against the tape border of the wafer. With very little practice this can be accomplished in seconds without disrupting the plastic ring connectors between the collection bag and the stoma plate.

It may be hard to visualize the underside, but when the ring of the StomaCloak® is fully seated, it can be tested for position by slightly rotating it. It will seem to move freely without binding on the stoma appliance.

Step 3:
Simply close the folds at the bottom, one over the other, to complete the concealment.
